What is the reform method?
The reform method is the only workout that safely and effectively combines strength, endurance, cardio, balance, core, and flexibility training in every move. It is an intense muscular workout that is low-impact and gentle on the joints, spine, and connective tissues.
FIVE elements for effective muscle stimulation
+
…variable resistance, allows peak muscle contraction while reducing the stress on the joints and the connective tissue.
+
…Each movement is kept within the range that targets a specific muscle or group, focusing on form.
+
…allows for training at different angles to help recruit different muscle groups.
+
… slow and controlled movements. None of the movements are performed using momentum, unlike in high-risk, high-intensity training programs. When working with and against resistance slowly, the tension on muscles stays constant, recruiting more muscle fibers. Slow and controlled movements activate the slow-twitch fat-burning muscle fibers.
+
…of 60-sec. stimulates both the fast & slow-twitch muscle fibers. Transitions are kept to a minimum to keep your muscles working and your heart rate elevated.
The reform method works because it’s built around the concept of effective intensity. To trigger adaptive changes (i.e. strengthened muscles, fat loss, increased flexibility), the body needs to reach a certain threshold of exercise intensity. Reaching that threshold depends on many factors, such as body type and fitness level, and is therefore unique for everyone. When you’re training at your effective intensity, your muscles are being optimally stimulated, and your training results are maximized.
